Our Hostess Maria

Last night Maria and Rodrigo hosted us in her home and gave us a cooking lesson on traditional Colombian foods. We prepared empanadas and aborrajadas with Maria’s mother’s recipes. They were more than delicious and we stuffed ourselves with them and cervesas as a compliment! We also got some salsa lessons from Rodrigo and Maria and we had so much fun and laughed and danced so much, I forgot to take photos!

They have been the very best representatives of their warm and friendly culture and have made our trip here unforgettable this far!

I must say a good, dependable blogger never fails to post but on this trip I am discovering that it is easy for me to get caught up in the moment and forget to post or take pictures. I can only reconcile it but saying, the moment is so precious and important that sharing takes a back sit to experiencing. I beg your pardon.

  1. Nothing replaces the present moment. That’s your job, friend. Sounds like you are doing it well! :)xoR
