Christmas Past…

December has come and gone! I have hardly posted due to constant activities taking priority over my blog. Always practicing living in the moment! Sad to say the end of the year has almost arrived, but happily it was spent being with friends and family and that’s just the way I liked it. Best of all it was a relatively stress free season this year!

I will share a few of my favorite things with you. It all began with Brenda Cosse’s remarkable project of The Giving Angels which consists of volunteers wrapping and delivering gifts to the elderly of the Verde Valley. It was an honor to be involved in such a special, loving act of giving. ( you can see more on the Facebook page here.)

One of the best nights, that also set the tone for the Christmas Holiday, was the Acker Festival in Prescott, AZ. This is, I think, my third year attending and it did not disappoint. The town square is lit up with Christmas lights. The streets are closed off and the local merchants and hotels host musical performers that put everyone in the Christmas spirit. This year there where well over 100 businesses involved! Our friend Jo Berger performed and a great time was had by all.

Our annual ‘WolfPack’ Christmas Party was hosted this year by Robin Cameron. We gather our intimate group of gals to celebrate, eat a great meal and sing Christmas Carols! This year we were treated to special harp music by a friend of Robin’s, Oman Ken, he is extremely talented!

The music was outstanding but best of all was the ‘reason for the season’, as we commemorate  the birth of our Lord and Savior! May you all be drawn closer to the light and love of Christ this coming year and may all your blessings be too numerous to count!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
