Lesson Learned

After missing the cross yesterday I was disappointed and had to ask myself what was the lesson there? I realized there is a fine balance between the walk and the journey. On the one hand I am very proud of myself for persevering on such a hot day and making good time. On the other hand I don’t want to miss anything because I have my head down. After several conversations with God, and one with my sweet husband I realize I am making a shift from our Camino to MY Camino.
Today I carried my pack into the town of Ponferrada. I will walk around the city and enjoy the sights. Then take a break this afternoon and a taxi to Villafranca. I will meet up with Susie there tonight. Such is the lessons of the Camino, ” be true to yourself” !!
